The richest 10% of households now represent 70% of all U.S. wealth

You speak for yourself.

We are.

We are

What?

Nah its just used as an instrument to punish and berate the poor. That’s gotta go.

Who is the “we”? Is it everyone? Only those who make over a certain amount? Is it taxing people who make over a certain amoung.

You said end prison labor. So if they don’t do any work, let them sit in their cells all day?

So no punishment then? Okay lets see how well that goes.

Wealth accumulation in small pockets of individuals is very dangerous economically, like a pseudo monopoly.

Name one time it wasn"t that way.

“That way” in what metric exactly

Wealth accumulation in small pockets of individuals.

It’s everyone.

Is that bad?

Lets.

Depends on the severity of it

Why can’t you just answer the question? You choose.

Tge answer depends on the severity. Wealth distribution has always been skewed. But it has been growing faster the last 4 decades since we opened up trade with China

Like I said, you choose. So you agree with Trump policy on China?

What’s ironic is that we are seeing socialist countries move towards capitalism because it works, yet LIBs in this country are looking to move the greatest economy in the world towards socialism. Truly a bizarro world they live in.

Since you didn’t put anything with it. I guess you didn’t read this part:

Americans’ taxes would have to change to pay for this kind of proposal. But it’s impossible to tell who would pay significantly more for their coverage and who would pay less, and by how much. This is a crucial part of any health care plan, and in the Sanders proposal, it is notably absent.

So we don’t know who’s paying for it, or how much more or less each person will pay for it. (and nice edit out of the sanders plan on vox . . .)

I’d rather they work for a little extra instead of sitting around trying to figure out ways to cause trouble.

Either let them post bail or in the case you propose – eliminate bail – let them sit in jail until a judge hears the case.

Lets NOT.

What he is wanting would cost so much it would tax everyone into poverty.

Have seen estimates of nearly 100 trillion dollars every 10 years for medicare for all.

Capitalism is much preferable.

Bingo!

Once again you seem to be fixated on handouts from some benevolent government bureaucracy.

Think about what you are saying. If someone isn’t making decisions for their future, why do you believe giving them more money will magically make them change their behavior?

And in the end, how much is enough? Who gets to make the decision? And if after throwing more money their way they are still poor because they continue to squander their money; then what? More money???

So basically cradle to grave? Who gets to pay for all of that?

Kind of like Venezuela?
