The prisoners for citizens swap

so much to unwrap here.

so we trade the deported to CECOT prisoners in El Salavador for US Citizens in Venezuela. lol.

first off SOS Marco Rubio

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement that the U.S. citizens and permanent residents had been arrested and jailed in Venezuela “without proper due process” and called for the “restoration of democracy in Venezuela.”

one of the funniest lines i ever heard.

the prisoners were deported to CECOT without due process and now we have the SOS whining about our citizens being held without due process.

i will continue this thread when i have time to think about this.

i ask for @peek-a-boo and @Samm and of course @WuWei take on this astonishing development.

It’s a shame. Rubio reduced to blatant hypocrisy all in the name of Trump Inc.

El Salvador traded terrorists under their sole control for… US prisoners.

My take on this was already covered in the Garcia thread. There was no need to start another thread just to ask what has already been answered.

i see nothing on that thread about swaping citizens and prisoners on that thread.

this is an entirely new development.

Yes, and I commented as soon as it happened.

But we do negotiate deals with the governments of hostile countries.
