The predatory behavior of both parties in regards to badgering massive campaign donations from elderly people and dementia patients

Both parties engage in the predatory behavior of badgering and cajoling massive campaign donations from elderly people and dementia patients.

I would note that organized religion, particularly the prosperity gospel scum, have done this same thing for ages.

My dad had a friend from business (this was circa the 1970’s and 1980’s, who was a contributor to the 700 Club. After he died, his wife continued to contribute, but as her mental faculties declined near the end, she was contributing several thousands at a time, until her children realized what was going on and put a stop to it. They were able to claw some of the money back under elderly exploitation laws. The same thing nearly happened to one of my aunts near the end of her life, but fortunately her caregiver reported to the family what was going on and we were able to stop it immediately and get back the one donation that was actually made.

You really need to keep an eye on your family in this regard. These people, whether religious, Democrat or Republican use high pressure to get donations from people that no longer have the judgement to say no.

When my own mom was nearing the end and was no longer fully in her right mind, we limited incoming phone access so she could not be contacted by scammers and reviewed her financial statements to ensure nothing untoward was occurring.

If you don’t, these predators will literally drain the elderly and demented of every cent they have, if they are given half the chance.

I can certainly see why greedy, entitled, predatory children would want to make sure their inheritance isn’t squandered on what their parents may want to squander it on.

My Dad is old, he’s wealthy, it’s his money. If he spends it all on what makes him happy… so be it. I’ll be fine.

Remember that predatory kid sniffer that all you libs voted for?

Sit the ■■■■ down.

Does he suffer from dementia?

I don’t think anyone is concerned about elderly parents who have their mental faculties doing as they choose with their money.

what difference does it make if greedy entitled children happen to think its bat ■■■■ crazy? Not their money no matter how many times they count that chicken.

The takeaway is fleecing the elderly is good.

Somehow.

 who is going to care for these people after they give all there money away to scammers? The fact any potential political leaders can be tied with this would be utterly disqualifying for them in any moral nation.

This is what happens when we allow conmen, scammers, plagiarists and lying scumbags in general to take over politics. The average crack dealer has more of a moral compass thn Kamala or trump

Real simple, help your parents, don’t control them.

If you are giving your entire retirement saving away to politicians you need to be controlled and are obviously demented. This is no different thn 90 year dementia patient giving away their life savings to a Nigerian prince or some hooker. After they squander their money the taxpayer will have to support them.

Taking advantage of retards and the elderly should be disqualifying from any public servents

yeah, got it, the vultures have to make sure there’s something left for them after their dead.

Huh?

You would be ok if your parent with dementia was convinced to give money to something they didn’t understand?

That’s ■■■■■■ up.

All the Dems would be disqualified for taking advantage of their base.

If they give all their money away because they have dementia, do you have enough money to care for them?

Yet another example of opposition based on politics.

It’s impossible that people truly thing fleecing people with dementia is A-OK, yet, here we are listening to people claim it is…

really? Pleas post one single comment I’ve made that even mentions dementia.

The only thing I’ve commented on is the greedy, entitled, predatory progeny of wealthy elderly people trying to control their parents spending while they count their inheritance waiting for them to die.

this is the title of the OP article.

How elderly dementia patients are unwittingly fueling political campaigns

This is what we were discussing.

Maybe you should read the title again?

“Elderly people AND Dementia patients”.

All elderly people don’t have dementia and, not all dementia is the same.

So why would the self-entitled progeny of elderly people be upset about their non dementia elderly parents spending their money on whatever the hell they want to?

Right. But you weren’t making a distinction.

Which indicates you think family shouldn’t step in even if the parents have dementia.

■■■■■■■■■ I never mentioned dementia.

your reading comprehension skills are lacking.

Didn’t you spend the better part of the last year saying Biden didn’t have dementia in the face of all the evidence he does? Aren’t you now trying to claim Trump does in spite of the fact that there is zero evidence he does?

Sorry, but entitled progeny counting their inheritance while they wait for their parents to die complaining about dementia does not impress me. If a person truly has dementia, they should be cared for, either by a family member or a rest home where their activities can be monitored. Not left to fend for themselves (alone) in their own home while the vultures complain about their spending and wait for them to die.

to the point. If these parents do have dementia then why aren’t their vulturous children caring for them in their home instead of leaving them to their own devices and complaining while they wait for their inheritance?

You said it didn’t matter if someone had dementia. It’s right there.
