Aren’t you curious about the reaction of Harris supporters who are super confident it’s going to be a runaway success for her? There are several members of this forum who are rabid Kamala cheerleaders you know.

But also, I’m not surprised that you have a plan B to change your stripes if Trump wins. I’m just a bit surprised that you revealed it.

Low intelligent voters eat that ■■■■ up. We have a lib here locally running for State Representative who’s campaign ads list a bunch of problems facing the State and then instead of saying what she would do to address any of them, she just enthusiastically blurts out “it’s time we do something about that!” The low intelligence lib voters will eat that up and no doubt vote for her.

I didn’t call tariffs a “sales tax,” even if they will certainly function like one, which is why Harris calls it that for propaganda purposes. Of course, she’s going to cast tariffs on the most unappealing way possible (which isn’t difficult; it’s a terrible idea). In any case, a tariff is by definition a “tax.”

But remember: you need to take that stuff seriously, not literally. Live by truthful hyperbole, die by truthful hyperbole. If we’re going to call Barack Obama “the founder of ISIS,” for example, it seems like fair game to point out the practical impact of Trump’s taxes.

The funny thing is: yes, Democrats are fretting and panicking. It’s what we always do. You can find all kinds of evidence for that if you look. Have at it. But you won’t find much in this standard-issue rhetoric from Harris.

By that standard, ALL taxes are sales taxes.
