Who really cares what James McCain thinks or who is he voting for. Pretty sad that anyone thought this was interesting or even a story.
However back to Trumps Arlington fiasco, I have no idea why the campaign had to attack the staff member who from what I can see was just trying to enforce the rules by saying he was a âdespicable individualâ and âsuffering from a mental health episodeâ. This resulted in the US Army making a statement defending the Arlington staff member and clarifying the campaign had been made aware of the regulations around political campaigns using Arlington.
I agree other politicians have used Arlington before and in my opinion that was wrong but what is different here is how the Trump campaign decided to publicly verbally attack and berate the staff member. But I suppose to the Maga crowd that is acceptable.
Well its a fact that the Trump campaign called the staff member âa despicable individualâ and âsuffering from a mental health episodeâ. What was the purpose of that? This to me reinforces the mentality that pervades the Trump campaign but I know Maga will just excuse it away.
I havenât seen anyone defending them saying it although there are people who do. Just like the person going to the cops with a tale Trumps teamade something up most likely.
The physical attack was reported by a source - un-named, yes.
The verbal attack was released by the Trump campaign spokesperson and an advisor.
âThe fact is that a private photographer was permitted on the premises and for whatever reason an unnamed individual, clearly suffering from a mental health episode, decided to physically block members of President Trumpâs team during a very solemn ceremony,â Cheung said in the statement.
âFor a despicable individual to physically prevent President Trumpâs team from accompanying him to this solemn event is a disgrace and does not deserve to represent the hollowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery,â he said in a written statement, misspelling the word hallowed. âWhoever this individual is, spreading these lies are dishonoring the men and women of our armed forces.â
No wonder the employee was worried about pressing charges.
CNN cares. They did a big article on it. They left out the part that family members had asked Trump to come and that John McCain once did a campaign video in Arlington standing among the tombstones
