That assumes the GOP embraces Trump for another 4 years. Hard to see that happening.

The GOP didn’t embrace Trump in 2016. The question is if the base would embrace Trump again. Personally, I would look for someone with similar policies but with a less volatile personality. But that doesn’t necessarily hold for the rest of the base.
And Trump is at an age where age matters…at least he will be n four years.

Seriously though why wouldn’t you be? Joe Biden is not going to serioisly affect your life in Texas. You got your Supremes ensuring your 2nd amendment rights are secure. Only major difference for you is that you’ll now also likely be able to legally consume Cannabis in the foreseeable future.
