Allow me to present an alternate theory…
The left in its time over the last couple of decades of having mostly control of the government, the media, academia…has swung the pendulum way off to the left. The result…government dictating what we drive…ignoring who was wandering across the border…bureaucrats with security clearances going after everyone from parents at school board meetings to ministers praying on public sidewalks in front of abortion clinics. You people complain about fascism while ignoring the efforts your government and your bureaucrats made to undermine the presidency of Mr Trump from the get go.
Imho the most blatant threat the freedom we enjoy in this country is the liberal left and the democrat party, which has proven that it will do whatever it can in public and worse yet in private to cripple any entity that dares to disagree with leftwing democrat dictates.
What you and others claim are baby steps by the current administration toward fascism I see as a return to sanity and the simple reversal of a whole bunch of terrible leftwing ideas.
Just because you don’t like border security and law enforcement in big crime ridden cities does not mean that we are descending into fascism.
