The new face of the Democrat Party, an extreme socialist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

I see Rep. Joe Crowley, a ten term democrat member of Congress, has lost to an unknown, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is an open border socialist extremist, who wants to close down ICE and abolish immigration and customs enforcement laws, guarantee everyone a federal job, provide Medicare to everyone, and give everyone a free college education. She should be a big hit at our Fifth Column media outlets such as MSNBC, CNN, etc.

Oh, she never mentions how she proposes to fund her “free” government cheese. Just goes to show you how brain dead the people in that voting district are. They really believe in a tooth-fairy.

Looks like I made the right choice when I sold the Edgewater Park boatyard and closed down my other business in New York City to escape the socialist free cheese crowd.

The unavoidable truth is, our Fifth Column democrat political leaders’ plan for “free” college tuition will be paid for by confiscating and redistributing the paychecks of millions of college graduates who worked for and paid their own way through college and are now trying to finance their own economic needs.

The good news is, Rep. Dan Donovan won the primary for Staten Island, and both candidates tried to represent themselves as more Trump friendly. Donovan won by almost 30 percentage points, which means, at least on Staten Island, people still believe in a free markets system, a merit based immigration policy, and other ideals which helped make America Great!

Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They always run out of other people’s money.Margaret Thatcher

donovan was running against a convicted criminal… not exactly a shock he won…

Nice broadbrush!

Representatives are selected by the people.

NY-14 wants her as their Representative.

Their Citizens of NY-14 choice is clear.

Allan

Which kind of proves the people want a “law and order” Representative!

There was a time not too long ago in New York when the able-bodied were ashamed to accept home relief, a program created by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1931 when he was Governor. Now, New York City and many other major cities are infested with countless government cheese factions from impoverished countries, who not only demand welfare, but use it to buy beer, wine, drugs, sex, and Lotto tickets.

All the blue collar stiffs on Staten Island are going to love it come tax time when they realize their SALT deduction is maxed out at 10k

Yup! NY’s 14th district’s choice was clear ___ they want free government cheese, our country overrun with the poverty stricken populations of other countries, and the believe in a tooth fairy.

American citizens are sick and tired of being made into tax-slaves to finance a maternity ward for the poverty stricken populations of other countries who invade America’s borders to give birth.

Obviously not the good citizens of NY-14.

Those American citizens have had enough of Trump.

when you have 2 candiates running in a primary, and one of them served time for tax evasion it’s not exactly a shock when he loses. and means nothing on a larger scale

Wrong! As I previously pointed out, it means they want a “law and order” Representative!

no,the incumbent defeated a convicted felon… not a shock

Actually it is a bit of a shock though not for reasons John is saying. It is a shock because the last polls had Grimm leading by 10 points.

Which proves they want a “law and order” representative.

There is still an election to be had. Let’s see how he fares against the democrat.

Yep…November will be a true referendum.

I never claimed there was a shock. There was no shock, if one is familiar with Staten Island politics. I used to live there and am still familiar with its politics.

JWK

Hey i live there now :grinning:

I used to live in Clifton and went to New Dorp High school. They were building the Verrazano Bridge at the time and the Bay Street train only had two cars. Last time I visited the old neighborhood not much had changed. There was still a large percentage of the population made up of police, firemen and business owners which is part of Staten Islands Republican stronghold.
