The Hoplophobe Strategy

Born better.

Don’t presume to answer for me.

Can we see the strategy at work?

“No right is absolute, no matter what it says.”
“No one needs this right, it’s 2019!”
“Society is civilized!”
“We all agree!”
“They didn’t mean Weapons of War!”
“They didn’t foresee!”
“We already violate it!”
“We don’t want to take your guns, just these millions.”
“We support the right, but…”

the NRA was used as a russian stooge

You have posted this same link in other threads.

How does your link address the OP?

Yep no right is absolute.

Great list. They use those all the time.

Actually I think guns should be grabbed because we are bloodthirsty, vicious and insane.

He didn’t read the report. I did.

Unfortunately the courts have placed themselves above the founders, the DOI, The Constitution, and the BOR.

And what specific limitations does Scalia go on to list that are constitutional?

“It is emphatically within the province and duty of the judicial department to say what the law is” has been quoted and relied on with full-throated enthusiasm by even the most diehard of textualists, including Scalia.

Which has nothing to do with what I stated, congrats.

Now, provide us the original source in context for that quote if you can.

It has everything to do with what you stated. And of course, it’s from Marbury.

No it doesn’t and again provide it from the original source in full context if you can.

Yes it does. And I’m not WestLaw. Knock yourself out.

No it doesn’t and you don’t need Westlaw to produce it.

Let me help you, when the court tells us what the law is they are absolutely within their constitutional mandate.

When the courts justify violations of our rights in the name of “public safety” or “the public good” they have just placed themselves above The Founders, The Constitution, and The BOR.

Oh yea, this is the “every SCOTUS decision I disagree wth is extra-constitutional because I am the final arbiter of what the Constitution says” bit. I’ve seen this movie before. It sucked the first time.

Brilliant argument, some of your best work to date. Congrats!

The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. Whenever the Court tells us what it says, they are absolutely within their constitutional mandate.
