No. That’s not what this is. They don’t want to send money to evil insurance companies. They want to send government money to all of us. To pay for our own healthcare, and have money left over.

Single payer is Medicare where the government pays the providers.
HSAs have their place, but government doesn’t usually fund them, and do you expect you will have money left over after cancer care or ICU care?

No one here understands the good that gets done with money sent to insurance companies.
No one here understands that government started tinkering with insurance in 1965 and they still haven’t gotten it right. They’ve been doing this the same length of time it took us to go from Kitty Hawk to Apollo.

Insurance companies give a ■■■■ ton of money to programs that help the neediest of us thru grant programs, funding of new programs and ensuring health plans for those who would otherwise not have health care at all.

You are so right on this and I’m old enough to remember when there was no such thing as health care insurance. It was just the patient and the doctor who made house calls when home remedies didn’t work.
