The future of public schools

How about we work to make schools more measurably effective, rather than the subjectively inclusive.

How would you make schools more measurably effective? I also reject the premise of “subjectively inclusive”.

You might be right…the Boomers really screwed things up in the last 40 years.

Of course. Statistics show that the ideal and most successful formula to raise kids, is with a dedicated married couple raising the kids.

One doesn’t need to consult statistics to know what a successful formula is to raise a productive adult who then carries that on to their children.

The root of the problem is the parents. Therefore, that is the problem that has to be addressed if the future of public schools are to be turned into learning institutions rather than baby sitters.

It would seem no one in education wants to or has the courage to address the real elephant in the room.

I referenced statistics taken from the census for the last 40 years.

If the root problem is the parents, how do we as a society address that?

Ok, so what? Shouldn’t they? Who told you the resources should be the same?

You didn’t understand?

Since only about 10% actually run anything, we’re probably ok.

Focus on academics and recognize that all humans, child and adult, don’t learn the same way. And the very usage of inclusion in education is subjective, at every level.

Boys and girls don’t learn the same way either

On what grounds?

you have to have a license to drive a car…

if it were only that easy…

You want a voucher program

That is incompatible with your current stance. Voucher programs, according to advocates will allow poorer students access (choice) to better schools.

Why do you think poorer kids should get more money than they pay in taxes, to attend a better school?

You’re confused. I want parents to have a choice and not have to pay twice.

That’s it.

Long as that 10% doesn’t say “sus” or “on God” I can live with it.

Choice of a better school, right? Why do they deserve that? This is your premise

And they aren’t paying twice.

I don’t know the number, but there are young people out there who are going to do well.

“Sus” worse than “groovy”?

To me it is.

Yes they are if they don’t send them to the “free” public school.

We tried your system and it has failed. Time to move on.

What does it mean?
