Pretty sure she knew her from her previous role. I know many of my state’s politicians as well being in a locally elected officer committe position. Even have their personal.numbers. It’s not that uncommon.
It doesn’t matter what DHS was looking to do. What matters is what the judge ruled.
If Garcia was looking to avoid DHS sending him to El Salvador, why would the judge rule he can’t be sent to Guatemala? Wouldn’t the DHS see that as a welcome gift and quickly send him to El Salvador as planned? Why would any judge provide unrequested relief (no deportation to Guatemala), while completely ignoring the requested relief (no deportation to El Salvador)?
If the judge ruled no deportation to Guatemala, why is Garcia still in this country? Why do we even have a Garcia thread? How can the administration mistakenly send Garcia to El Salvador, if there is no order preventing that deportation?
Because many different things get brought up in hearings.
Garcia is lucky hes in prison and not a citizen.
There is precedents to kill u s citizens with drones if they are considered terrorists.

the courts have clearly stated that the admin will facilitate his return as if he was never deported. its really easy concept to grasp.

I’m still confused by two points you are making.
Why would the judge provide relief for something that was not requested (no deport to Guatemala), while ignoring relief that was requested (no deport to El Salvador)?
With no requested relief, that left the door wide open for immediate deportation to El Salvador by DHS. If the no deport relief was for Guatemala, why wasn’t Garcia deported to El Salvador by DHS as planned?
I guess there is a third point as well. Why in God’s name is every news source saying the no deport was for El Salvador? Why have all court rulings specifically mentioned no deport to El Salvador being violated? Why are you the only person, that I’m aware of, who is saying the no deport order was for Guatemala?
Matters not a whit.
Justice was not served. A man is in prison without a trial, conviction or sentence and the USG did it.

The following sentences detail actual events, not “LW talking points”: We flew Garcia to El Salvador in custody and told them he was a criminal. He hadn’t lived there in years, so they had no previous information about any criminal activity he may or may not have engaged in. They immediately imprisoned him without a trial based on the unproven allegations we provided.
Those are undisputed facts, reported by both left-wing and right-wing news organizations and openly expressed by the White House. You can continue to keep your head buried in the sand, and I’m sure you will, but your “LW talking points!!!” and camel photo posts aren’t legitimate rebuttals.
