The Curious Case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia

and now he has to defend the illegal deportation in court.

Allan

This guy has to do with AEA.

There is nothing to defend. It was a mistake.

Most are just sent home. Stop extrapolating the vast majority of deportations home to,the handful of the worst of the worst who likely didn’t get all rights, but most likely got what they deserved.
Your treating the whole attempt at deportation as if though it were some sort of historical holocaust because a few of the worst criminals didn’t get their rights is pure msnbc.
And those people weren’t put on trial in Nuremberg because they mistreated murderers and rapists.

“come on!” Doug. we all know the real reason this is all going on….

How many does it take?

Going on the way it is.

anytime a grievous error is made like this one, a price needs to be paid.

Allan

There was no grievous error. There was a clerical error that sent an MS-13 gang member back to his home country. He wasn’t able to have an immigration judge formally remove the do not deport to El Salvador protection order. If he had been afforded the opportunity, he would still be in El Salvador today, just not as quickly.

A grievous error is one that sends someone who doesn’t belong there. Someone who truly is as squeaky clean as is being claimed. Someone who really does belong in this country. None of that is remotely true for Garcia.

He is right where he needs to be.

how is the price paid for the grievous error democrats made by encouraging all this violent foreign gang trash into the US?

or does that only apply to the one-off clerical error?

dont deflect, focus in on the garcia error.

Allan

not giving a person his rights is not a clerical error.

Allan

and thats where you and i part company.

anytime a person is denied rights it is a grievous error not just a simple mistake.

Allan

We are talking about end results.

If someone deserves to be where he is, but is mistakenly sent there earlier than scheduled due to a clerical error, that isn’t grievous. Yes, mistakes were made, but in the end he would have ended up there anyway. Garcia is right where he needs to be.

If someone who doesn’t belong there, was sent by mistake, that would be a grievous error.

Google AI:
A grievous error is a serious mistake that has significant negative consequences or consequences that cause great pain or suffering. It is an error of such gravity that it is likely to cause harm, damage, or other undesirable outcomes.

That doesn’t remotely describe Garcia’s case.

you are talking end results.

i am talking process.

What should be the process for deporting someone who has been in the United States for 14 years.

certainly not the ham handed (no constitutional rights) process that occurred in the garcia case.

the correct process was not followed, causing a egregious error.

one that you do not recognize.

Allan

many others like him and worse are here because of this

inconvenient, huh?

rights arent “given”. learn the constitution pls.

I never do,this, but

  :joy:

Your answer reminds me of an old comedy skit where Vincent Price was going to shoot some people but they took his gun away and pointed ar him. His response: “It’s not healthy to dwell on the past”.
