While I don’t dispute the US paid to incarcerate TdA gang members, I don’t believe the US paid to incarcerate the 23 ES nationals sent to El Salvador. ES was asking for ES MS-13 gang members to be sent to ES as part of the deal. Garcia was mistakenly caught up in that, but ES chose to incarcerate him, not the US.

Not everyone experiences significant mental decline as they get older. My paternal grandmother lived to be 102. Her son (my father) looked to be a blithering idiot, in comparison, when they were in a room together. It was sad, given that my father was usually the smartest person in the room in his younger days.
