Again, if youâd like to defend Mr Trump by saying âhe didnât rape her, he just put his fingers in her vagina against her willâ please, go ahead. I hope it makes you feel better about him.
"Last year, Trump was found liable for sexually assaulting and defaming Carroll and was ordered to pay her $5 million. In January, he was found liable on additional defamation claims and ordered to pay Carroll $83.3 million. Trump is appealing both verdicts.
Neither verdict involved a finding of rape as defined under New York law.
The judge in both cases, Lewis Kaplan, has said that the juryâs conclusion was that Carroll had failed to prove that Trump raped her âwithin the narrow, technical meaning of a particular section of the New York Penal Law.â
Kaplan noted that the definition of rape was âfar narrowerâ than how rape is defined in common modern parlance, in some dictionaries, in some federal and state criminal statutes and elsewhere.
The judge said the verdict did not mean that Carroll âfailed to prove that Mr. Trump ârapedâ her as many people commonly understand the word ârape.â Indeed ⌠the jury found that Mr. Trump in fact did exactly that.â

NEW YORK â ABC News has agreed to pay $15 million toward Donald Trumpâs presidential library to settle a lawsuit over anchor George Stephanopoulosâ inaccurate on-air assertion that the president-elect had been found civilly liable for raping writer E. Jean Carroll.
The case is still under appeal. Most of the money awarded to Ms Carroll was because she won a defamation case against President Trump that is under appeal.
If you believe he âraped her with his fingerâ charge, youâd have to think President Trump stuck his finger in the woman against her will.

Was trump hard up for sex? Probably not, he could afford all the hookers he wanted.
Did he a sexually assault Carroll, ya the jury said he did. (Civil standard) Less likely for âsexâ and more likely about power and getting away with it.
