While I appreciate the thousands and thousands of your extra dollars received since this Kung Flu fight began (I have a very phat savings account now, thank you so much), but I was to understand that they would have ended last month.
I’ve heard too many different things on how and how long people are to receive further stimulation. Anyone know? Are you getting your Biden checks?

This is an illusion that looks like a handout. This is just sending you the child tax credit throughout the year instead of applying it when you file your taxes. A bunch of people use it to get a return instead of breaking even or having to pay. So by getting it through the year, you don’t have it to offset taxes owed when you calculate your taxes.
Example: family of 4 had $7,000 of federal taxes withheld from pay, and owes $3,000 more before applying the credit. Because there are 2 children involved, the family gets $3,000 back instead of owing $3,000. Now, if they took the child tax credit for the 2 children in monthly payments throughout the year, they owe the $3,000 that was not withheld to cover their income taxes. I turned down the payments for just this situation. My idea of a perfect tax return has me writing a check for $100-$150 in April to the IRS instead of them holding $2,000-$3,000 of my money, without interest.
I wonder how many families are either going to get a much smaller return than usual, or end up owing this coming tax season because of this “check.”
You all are lucky you are getting biden dollars, I do not get any. I am working full time, have military retirement, and also collect social security (since I turned 70.) I am getting a hefty tax bill and make estimated tax payments every quarter. I get frustrated when I hear about foreigners getting sent biden bucks overseas. I do not begrudge any of you lucky ones whose income is in the range for biden bucks, but, think it is about time to stop that extra income.
If course it is my decision to continue to work full time, I do not want to live on a fixed income. I am living the American Dream as an asian american who is doing what I set out to do in this great country (before the liberal socialists gained power.) I have seen up front and close what socialism does to a country and hope our Federal Republic survives until Mr. Trump or another Republican can once again reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and our legislative branch can hold its head high and do the peoples work.
