The nominees for the 98th Academy Awards had been announced.
Sinners received a record 16 nominations, including Best Picture. F1 was also nominated for Best Picture.

F1 was a 2 hour commercial for F1 Racing on AppleTV. Absolute garbage, IMO.
I liked Sinners, but it wasn’t worthy of most nominations ever. It had an extremely long setup for what turned into a forgettable vampire story. Awesome sequence at the shindig though.
Not sure what the old record was, but there’s a new category this year (Best Casting) that gave it an extra nomination.
