Wide open this year is all I can say.

My Panthers got in thanks to the Falcons!
Young looks a lot better than I thought he would. I watched him in a preseason scrimmage, and he couldn’t complete a pass.
My Steelers got in by the hair of their chinny chin chin and a missed Ravens FG. Texans are favored to win Monday night. We’ll see. In other news Ravens Coach John Harbaugh was fired today. I’m betting he had multiple offers before he finished cleaning out his desk. Good on him Harbaugh is a class act and a proven coach. Steelers-Ravens rivalry is the only pro football rivalry the money follows because the games always are close to the last tick of the game clock. I Hope Harbaugh takes his whole staff with him to his new team.
Go Steelers!
Given how horrid the nfc east has been the only rivalries that are fun watching are in afc north.
Even Cleveland manages to squeeze out wins in their division
Yes nfc west is a strong division but who cares. It’s the west coast ![]()
Makes no sense for the Ravens to fire John Harbaugh.
I hope he’ll sign with the Cleveland Browns so ge can beat the Ravens twice a year as well as continuing his coaching rivalry with Tomlin.
Giants
Giants
Wait did i mention Giants
He needs to sign with the giants
Ummmm…the Giants are a baseball team.
Duh!!!
The Steelers and Tomlin were lucky to make it in thanks to some magic left in Aaron Rogers.
I just don’t see them winning a playoff game.
I would like to thank Aaron Rogers for a magnificent season.

Yeah, he’s a bit rickety at this point in his career. I liken him to Peyton Manning in his last year. Manning had a better team around him that year and got to exit on the high note of winning a Super Bowl. I’m not sure there’s enough magic in Rogers to lift the rest of the team around him this year. (I think he (and the Steelers) did better than expected this year though.)
But this game has the Irresistible Force v the Immovable Object…Tomlin’s playoff futility v his 11-0 home record on Monday nights (the Steelers have actually won their last 23 home Monday night games).
And Houston doesnt play well in the cold.
What will give?

I made $900 betting on Tomlin to win 9+ games this year.
Never ever bet against NHALS.
Never ever.
Vegas was only offering -110 on an 8.5 win total so even they knew.
I’m hoping for a rematch of the 1986 Super Bowl: Bears vs. Patriots.
Watch the money lines. I’ve been a Steeler fan since before Chuck Noll became the HC in 1969. Noll’s first season he was 1-13 par for the previous teams.
But that changed. It changed again when Bill Cowher became HC. Mike Tomlin didn’t change or evolve with trends in the NFL. This “never had a losing season” of .500 records is nothing short of mediocrity and appeasement. The team has stagnated since Art Rooney II assumed leadership. Don’t get me wrong the games are exciting especially with rivals like the Ravens. But Tomlin’s teams play down to teams with abysmal records (Browns) and lose. Players appear to be unprepared, undisciplined and individual efforts help contribute to success more than the team effort leading to success. They have the talent it just seems the coaching can’t get them to the next level.
I’d like to see a repeat of Super Bowl XL when the Steelers as a 6th seed won on the road to beat Seattle. Different times different coach.
Oh I totally agree on Tomlin.
Unfortunately the Steelers were really only championship caliber when Dan Rooney ran the show.
The Chief, beloved as he was, didn’t know how to run a team.
And Art II was a lawyer who didn’t hang around the club the way his father did.
We need both Tomlin gone AND Art to turn the team over to his son Daniel Martin, who did hone his chops by working in the organization and by all accounts is a good football mind.
Art II cares about his image and making money. NHALS is good enough for him.
Well stated. Tomlin is an average …even good coach. Not up to to the standard set by Noll and Cowher.
I say they make it interesting and lose 28-24 to Texans.
Difference will be worn down Heyward and Watt.
Pretty fair point. Leadership does begin at the very top.

The nfl scripted announcers were even calling him a “genius” in the final minutes of the Browns loss.
I’m a lifelong Steelers fan living in Maryland, and I was cheering for the ravens Sunday night.
The never-ending mediocrity has to stop.
