Why would she abort a child that she wanted before she knew of the genetic death sentence it has?
CarefulâŠ
None of that changes the biology of the matter. The biology is that a human life gets snuffed out with every abortion. And the right to life is inalienable.
You are describing why some people want to be able to violate someone elseâs right to life, and justifications they want to use to do that. No doubt itâs horribly common, and coercion is a significant factor in why many women give in and abort their child.

Why would she abort a child that she wanted before she knew of the genetic death sentence it has?
Go into the pro-abortion groups on Facebook and youâll see how barbaric and sadistic some of these women are.

Child support.
Men absolutely do not have to pay child support. Many many many donât. Are there repercussions for that. Sometimes. A lot of the times there arenât. A guy can just take off. Not the same as making a woman have a baby.
Donât be ridiculous.

Donât be ridiculous.
You donât think there are men who have not paid child support? And not faced any serious repercussions?
The moment a man becomes a father, the next two decades of his life are set in stone.
He cannot go a day without a job.
He must work at whatever he can find. No matter how dangerous.
The woman and the child will bleed him dry.
If she decides to cut him loose, it stays the same, but now he becomes an indentured servant.

It is illegal.
Can the government garnish wages?

Samm:
Are you saying she wasnât used? Have you ever read how was that Rosa came to be on that bus?
Fighting for oneâs own rights is not âbeing usedâ
Just read the story ⊠she was chosen ⊠she was used.

Samm:
That she has the resources to do so and some people donât is not the point of this story.
that is in fact one of the points. Another woman of less means could well die or suffer serious harm because of this law, and of Paxtonâs threats to those who would provide care in TX.
That it worked out for this woman is great, but it does not negate the fact that for others, it might not.
Then why donât you© find one of them to be your© poster gal.

The reason so many are concerned about this case is exactly because her life is in danger by being forced to carry this pregnancy to term.
No itâs not ⊠If her life was in danger and she wasnât pregnant (terminally ailing fetus or not) we wouldnât even be discussing this.
Huh?
Correct. If her life was in danger and she wasnât pregnant, there is no law preventing doctors from tending to her, nor would the AG be threatening anyone who would give her care.
You highlighted one part of the sentence, but the second is important too. Because she is pregnant.
As @Guvnah has shown you, her life was not in danger any more from this pregnancy than from any other pregnancy. In effect, you are advocating that all pregnancies be terminated to potentially âsave the life of the mother.â

Her doctor claims she wasâŠ

One thing to bear in mind with Ms. Cox, she has been hospitalized 4 times in the past few months due to complications with this pregnancy. This is not just about the viability of the pregnancy but also the health of the Mother, who has been told that carrying the baby to term would pose a significant risk to her having another child (which she wants). It would also, to a lesser extent, certainly pose a significantly higher mortality risk, which would leave her Husband with 2 kids and a dead wife.
Doesnât make a lot of sense to punish this woman for wanting another child, her previous pregnancies were not smooth, she has had 2 C-Sections as a result but still wants more kids. To me, she should probably stop and not risk her health but she is quite determined. I donât think that most Pro-Lifers have someone like her in mind when they think of women who opt for abortion, and that is quite inconvenient to their argument. Sometimes a later term abortion is appropriate, and most of them happen in very similar situations because if you carry a baby that long, you want it. Something horrible has to happen in order to want to terminate late term, but the way some Pro-Lifers put it, women are just killing viable pregnancies at 40 weeks for convenience, and have no problems finding Doctors willing to do it. Which is, of course, nonsense.
Carrying the baby to term was never the issue. That poses no more risk to the mother than any other pregnancy (which admittedly, does present a risk to all women.) The risk involved that might make her baren, is the same as that which might kill her ⊠an infection caused by the fetus dying invitro and not quickly being removed from the womb. Being under close medical observation as she was, that risk is extremely small.

Jezcoe:
Mrs. Coxâs own doctor has made this determinationâŠ
Actually the doctor hasnât made that determination. The doctor made an assertion. Lots of doctors have no problem with abortion, despite their Hippocratic Oath. Anyone can find a doctor who will support just about any position on just about any medical issue (as well as non-medical ones.)

Just about every pro-abort argument advocates for far more than the wielder thinks heâs arguing.
