Supreme Court (6/17/19) - 4 decisions, no CVSGs, no new grants, Klein GVRed

Today’s Supreme Court order list, which contains no CVSGs and no new grants. The one item of note:

18-547 KLEIN, MELISSA, E., ET VIR V. OR BUREAU OF LABOR & INDUSTRIES

The petition for a writ of certiorari is granted. The judgment is vacated, and the case is remanded to the Court of Appeals of Oregon for further consideration in light of Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Comm’n, 584 U. S. ____ (2018).

The court GVRed (Grant, Vacate, Remand)ed the Oregon case.

Four decisions were released today, each of which I will address in a separate thread, I have already posted Virginia House of Delegates v Bethune Hill.

Thank you for these posts each week. They are very useful to see

The Supreme Court has scheduled a decision day this Thursday, June 20, which day they will also have their last schedule conference of the term. The Court will then return on Monday, June 24 for what is the last scheduled day, but clearly we will get at least two extra days that week, (Tuesday and Wednesday), due to the large number of remaining cases, 20 to be exact.

Thanks.
