Super Tuesday (but for State and local only, no Presidential)

This is a thread for anything EXCEPT Presidential primaries happening on Super Tuesday.

For example, California Senate and North Carolina gubernatorial and House primaries.

In California, I predict that Schiff and Garvey will advance.

In North Carolina, I predict that Stein and Robinson will advance.

Feel free to discuss any non-Presidential primary occurring today.

well its not until June but we have a Menendez senate replacement democratic throw down between Congressman Andy Kim and First Lady of New Jersey Tammy Murphy.

knockdown, dragout.

Predicting Schiff and Garvey to advance is pretty safe.

I would SO enjoy a Garvey upset in November.

I wouldn’t bet on it. Democrats love their liars.

Schiff has been fully responsible for Garvey’s performance, deliberately putting out ads designed to get Republicans to rally around Garvey.

Of course, Schiff wants Garvey as his November opponent. If Garvey is the opponent, Schiff can go ahead and start hiring his Senate staff.

If Porter was to be the opponent, there is a LONG time from now to November for her to pull even with him among Democrats.

Schiff wants Garvey as his opponent in the worst way.

My ballot for today’s primary.

North Carolina has a bunch of “Council of State” offices, most other States not having that many statewide offices to vote on. The only position that Republicans don’t have a primary on is the second most important one, Attorney General, with Dan Bishop being the only candidate on the Republican side.

Bishop should have a slight advantage in this race and could be the first Republican to win election to Attorney General since 1896.

That â– â– â– â– â– â–  bag Menendez has had further indictments today. If he resigns or is kicked out (which he should be) would Murphy have the chutzpah to appoint the wife? Or would he have the decency to just appoint a placeholder?

That makes sense and the likely outcome.

I still want the opportunity for Garvey to pull the upset.

Stein and Robinson appear head to easy victories in the gubernatorial primary.

Too early to call the Democratic AG race.

Enough results in to safely say that it will be Schiff vs Garvey in November.

The party noise you here is coming from Schiff’s headquarters.

Looks like late deciding Democrats went very heavily for Schiff.

Porter is not even doing well in her home county of Orange, nor is Lee doing well in her home county of Alameda.
