Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Re=Release (2025)

I saw the re-release of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Saturday, and I enjoyed it just as much I did when I first saw it on the big screen 20 years ago.

I hope everyone else get to see it again.

I give it a grade of an A-.

ENJOY!

In my youth I was a big fan.
Now they seem to me to be to be a collection of stories with angst driven soy boys with swords.

Awful movie when released in 2005

But compared to the sequel trilogy? Not so bad after all.

Hard to imagine you as a nerd. You always gave me the “silent veteran enjoying nature on his porch” vibe.

I think he was navy. Almost every older guy I know who was in the navy is a bit of a nerd. My preacher growing up was a navy veteran and served on a Ticonderoga class in the mid 80s. He was a super nerd.

He’s the one who got me into Star Trek as a kid weirdly enough. That was like his favorite thing in the world besides the Bible.

That youtube video “Star Wars Kid”, with the teenager in his garage swinging a broomstick was The Godfather compared to the sequel trilogy.

Sequel trilogy is a mess.

VII: A promising start that relied way too much on nostalgia fuel.

VIII: An interesting premise ruined by brain dead decisions.

IX: Tried to rectify the brain dead decisions but only made it a million times worse.

Haze gray and underway. Jimmy C was potus.
The very first one came out while I was in boot.

Complete with one of the barn cats in my lap getting his chin scratched.

That’s the life.

How are you, John?

Powder is dry and I am upright and mostly mobile. You?

Amen! What the â– â– â– â–  were we thinking back then??

The special effects were nothing like we’d ever seen and the good vs. evil aspect had us looking at them uncritically. They were the old RKO westerns crossed with the Flash Gordon serials brought up to date. Scrappy teenagers save the universe.
