If someone is murdered in South Africa, chances are the guy that stabbed him to death (most common tool of murder there) spoke Xhosa. Which is almost exclusively a black language. Whites there either speak Afrikaans or English with a funny accent.
The issue is how does the governing power treat them. Whites are discriminated against in South Africa with government approval.

An asylum seeker is someone who has fled their home country. The Afrikaners had not fled their home country - we bought them a plane ticket out of their home country and invited the,/

It’s been decades since I worked with Amnesty International but I do recall us working with torture vicitims, prisoners of conscience etc… They sought asylum, even though they had not left their home countries and, with hour help, sometimes they got it.
Unfortunately Amnesty International has become so politicized these days (since roughly 2004) their word is no longer trustworthy, but that’s a tangent.
We should nuke South Africa, so we don’t have to hear about their racial tensions ever again.

This statement could be made against anyone fleeing their nation for elsewhere under duress.
The Afrikaners did not seek asylum. They were invited directly by the US government - by voluntarily walking into an office in the country they are seeking to leave. Then they were offered a plane ticket and route to US citizenship. That is not how asylum works.
(I pretty much agree about Amnesty. They lost their way a long time ago. Their work in the 1980’s and 1990s was top-notch)
