“Over there” being the rest of the world? yes, there are some pretty gruesome and awful places in the world right now.
The focus seems to be on South Africa for the moment. From what I’m seeing, it looks pretty bad.

Well it happens, then, that the second article Six Foot linked failed to do that.
South Africa probably has the highest crime rate in the world. Murdered or targeted? Could be both. I would check how many of the murdered in the farm attacks are white farmers.

White South Africans are absolutely being oppressed by what amounts to a racist government that still can’t figure how out to govern.
Is that enough for a refugee exception? In my opinion yes. That was the reason for my refugee status……
Don’t use the murders. That’s feelings. Use the evidence of actual oppression.
