So libs, is Democracy a problem now

Nicely explained. I suppose in simple terms its one of many systems where the people can make their voice heard and in one way or another that voice has consequences for government.

We elect our representatives.

What always concerns me are those initiatives where majority rule.

That’s democracy but not republic IMO.

Only thing that’s saving us for time being are the courts because of Constitution and BoR’s…the law.

We are a constitutional republic. That is a form of democracy, it just has added protections against stupid.

You don’t vote on policy or laws, you vote on people who either support or oppose them. Those people vote on policy and laws. But in the end, 9 people decide if all that voting matters in regards to the constitution.

Protection from stupid.

The only vote democrats increased their percentage on was the ā€œKarenā€ vote. They’re just out of touch with the majority of the electorate. When people were complaining about inflation instead of the administration saying we feel your pain, they would just talk about how wonderful it was compared to everywhere else. That’s not good enough.

When polls came back showing 70% of the American population back mass deportations, you might have a border issue. They didn’t look at what people were upset about, and road Trump is Hitler to the finish line. Then picked a femboy as VP and didn’t do the Rogan show that was free and would have sent her message to millions of you men instead paying to have her image on the dome in Vegas for $435,000 a day.

I didn’t hear any of the old Democrat messaging on Medicare for all protecting jobs, etc., etc. just racism misogyny transphobia :face_vomiting::face_vomiting:

I might be wrong, but I think she actually lost among voters who put democracy was their biggest issue. Which anyone with an IQ above a dinner salad that was not the big issue America was voting on.

Just to further the democracy vs something else discusion: the above is the ideal version of what we have. The practical/realistic version of what we have is…a bit different.

Just saying.

I’m just somewhat amused that libs have gone from we must save democracy to democracy is a problem…specially when people didn’t vote the way they demand.

Who here remember that Biden regime attempted to create Disinformation Governance Board…before it was shut down after public outcry?

And they’re still trying to push that agenda.

That was in August 2021

So is this democracy or now a threat to your democracy?

I’m starting to get this impression that democracy is now a direct threat now to libs rule.

It’s not. And that’s the final word.

There was a lot of that when they went to the older population. In CTvtheirvwas endless commercials about Yrump was going to reduce medicare and social security. I haven’t heard one word from trump saying he was going to do that.

It’s a classic Democrat advertising angle. They do that every election.

The Republican equivalent is saying the Dems will legalize all forms of abortion tomorrow if they are elected.

I think most people thought they meant trump was going to became a dictator and no more elections. It didn’t play well. Even the dinner salad new that wasn’t true.

hopefully youre kidding and saw this long ago

Oh yeah…but now some of em are now openly admitting it.
