So how exactly did we get here? (The SCOTUS decision on Afirmative Action.)

Blame those damm Asians! What particular ethnic group is the most successful in America today? Those of Asian decent (people from China, India, etc.). Well how the ■■■■ is that even possible since success comes from having WHITE Privilege and/or generational wealth? Are we to believe that everyone who came here from China and India came with tremendous wealth from those countries? Or is it possible that they succeeded in life through hard work?

Do you know what they did? Well, it was largely because of the PARENTS of the children from these particular ethnic groups who pushed their kids to excel in school, particularly in the STEM classes. These particular students then excelled on the SAT, which has been the standard set by these so-called elite institutions on whom to accept or reject for the past few decades.

How ironic is it now that the very same institutions whom for decades used SAT scores as that standard now in the 2020’s, wants to reject that.

Oh look!

Seems like the diminishing minority is losing the “heady advances of the movement.”

Going to have to compete?

…and BAM…there it is. The truth has been revealed. Now let’s watch it get spun into the lies being fed to the sheople among us.

The minority peeps who actually want to succeed already work hard, study hard, and stay out of trouble (Just like anybody else. It has nothing to do with skin tone). They will compete successfully. The rest can make way.

I’m really happy to see this happen. It’s about time.

Let the best and the brightest start competing again and raise the standards of education. I hope this has the same effect on employment.

Just another example of lib lexicon and wordsmithing.

In truth, the conservative effort is to oppose the actual REMAKE that libs are pushing.

The two ethnic groups that the Left are crying about - blacks & Latino - have the following single mothers rate; 70% & 50%, maybe this has something to do with the issue? :man_shrugging:

B…b…b…but they have “the village”. Hillary told us.

She might not have been wrong about that.

We see the results of relying on “the village” instead of the parents. It’s a culture… supposedly African. Fine. There are consequences though.

Well, given the abject failure of single mothers to raise male children and the failure of men to be fathers, perhaps the village is the only option.

Unfortunately it seems to be the village of idiots.

Because there needed to be a correction of the system.

One cannot fight the legacy of racism with more racism. It doesn’t work like that.

The system was eventually going to self correct. And that is what has happened with AA. It died because it needed to die. It was a racist policy.

Crazy thing is that African immigrants (be they black or white Africans) do very well here in America. Especially in higher education.

Black Americans, meanwhile, we don’t do so hot. Because we tolerate and even celebrate mediocrity in our communities. Mediocrity in fathers, mediocrity in our cultural generators, mediocrity in everything.

And it’s really sad. Africans (black or white) should not be doing better than us. We are Americans. We are supposed to do better. But elements of the larger black American culture hold us back.

Especially our acceptance of mediocrity.

Not just “acceptance”… defense of and even celebration of those those things that lead to mediocrity.

It’s a damn shame. Because we have a rich history and are so much better than that.

It needed to die in 1990. CRT was the life support.

Helluva post

A real issue is the incredibly poor American educational system and the lack of concern about education in American culture, especially in inner cities and rural areas. Ethnic groups dominated by recent immigrants and their children are at the top of the list. Appalachian Americans, whose ancestors migrated from Europe before the American Revolution, are dead last.
