It appears domestic suppliers are taking advantage of the tariffs to raise prices for consumers of their goods. This is raising prices on consumers and basically gouging. So for the forgotten man getting gouged what should be done?
One forgotten man (the consumer) helping another forgotten man (the employee).
This is the way it should be. Getting addicted to dumped prices from foreign countries might have been a nice high but it’s time to get sober and grow our own industry back up to where it needs to be for our national security.

Why couldn’t they sell at the prices before?
Why raise them 4 times in year?
Did employees get 4 raises?
Didn’t taxes go down?

Te answer is YES! A resounding YES! President Trump should engage in any and every bit of interference in the economy, such as implementing “price controls”, as he can in his time left in office.

Since steel and aluminum are national security issues those workers should be getting paid out of the defense department contracts. I guess they should be paid the same as Academi employees.
I think a tax incentive for consumer buyers of steel and aluminum products should be considered.
Oh so more government debt to fix an unnecessary problem.

You know that if the forgotten man goes on strike to get more money during this time to take advantage of the situation the anti union stories will be all over fox like they used to be about the auto workers.

Tariffs, how do they work?!
You know what is funny the same people that were convinced if you raised taxes on the rich they would make everyone else pay for it support a tax that really does get added to the cost of a product.
If the only this is how the economy actually worked…
