Should the government support gay conversion therapy?

He wasn’t taken away, they had him committed

They moved out of state to retain custody.

Ahmed assured Seattle Children’s Hospital that he would take his son to a gender clinic and commence his son’s transition. Instead, he collected his son, quit his job, and moved his family of four out of Washington.

Thanks for showing proof that the state did not take away their son.

No. Just in general.

Thank you for affirming that the family had to lie to authorities and move out of state to avoid castration for their son.

The state can remove children from parental supervision for what the state deems is necessary medical treatment.

How many gay teens end up castrated?

If you are not acting sufficiently macho, you must be trans?

We don’t know this to be true, just that it was claimed. Got any corroborating evidence to support the anecdote?

What In the …what?
:man_facepalming:

Do you have any evidence that it did not happen and/or is inconsistent with the law of Washington State?

The point is that teachers and other authorities are pushing the idea that any guy who does not act stereotypically male must be trans. Gays are the first targets.

I’ll go with you here. I am pretty uncomfortable with a state mandating
this

No they aren’t. That’s your imagination at work

Leave the children alone! Let them mature into adults and make this most important decision later, when they have had the chance to actually think this matter through.

It depends where you are. The number of kids labeled “trans” has exploded in place like LA and New York City.

Yeah and? Doesn’t mean their teachers pushed them into it because they “weren’t macho”

See the Megyn Kelly video starting at 1:00 about the 3-week “trans education program” for 8 and 9-year-old boys.

Yes I did. it was a personal anecdote that wasn’t backed up by anything

You imagined this

What it means is that it isn’t genetic…it’s an environmental factor that has artificially entered into these childrens’ world that is confusing them.

I agree. This thinking should also apply to religion and politics.

Don’t indoctrinate your kids until they can make this decision later.

I even went so far as to ask the Mrs. not to pierce our daughter’s ears until it’s something she asks for.

As far as religion goes, The Lord said, “let the children come to me” and I’ll do everything in my power to allow that to happen.

Or anyone who speaks up gets silenced. Bill Maher noted that many parents are telling him the same thing.

The mainstream US media has been remarkably silent about the issues that Megyn Kelly raised, but it is clear that her experience is not unique. Consider what is going on in the Los Angeles school district:
