If you murder someone… it doesn’t make it less of a murder if you are black or white. Same with whether one is poor or rich.

I don’t know how many, if any at all, have been unfairly levied based one race. But if CA knows of some, then they should be adjusted. I’d go as far to say restitution should also be given if they already served their time.

I think there is a contingent on the far left that believe this but I would not broadbrush the entire democrat base with this.
In my humble opinion the political process has been hijacked by the extremes on both sides and are far more influential than ever before. No idea how to fix that though.

What else do you want to see done? To go beyond equality is to create a new tyranny just as bad as the original tyranny my ancestors lived under.
Yeah that’s not correct.
But it’s not because of race.
It’s because of class. If you’re poor you generally have fewer options to mount an effective defense. Thus you are going to more than likely get screwed by the state (assuming the person is innocent).
If you’re relatively wealthy and can afford the best defense attorneys the industry offers your chances of being treated fairly go up exponentially.
Poor whites and poor blacks get screwed by the justice system. Because the system is biased against the poor.
But due to the stats on poverty it often appears to be racial in nature. But it’s really economics.
It’s about class and economics.
A wealthy black man has a much higher chance of a favorable outcome in court than a dirt poor white man. The poor white man will get saddled with an overworked 25 year old public defender while the wealthy black man can hire a high end attorney with 30 years of experience under his belt.
It’s not race. It’s class.
Oh i think since the summer of hate forward the lib prosecutors have given blacks all sorts of breaks on prosecutions and crime has exploded because of it.
Seems obvious if one follows the news.
Lots of white libs have gotten breaks during those years as well.
