A “shocking” new survey from a personal finance website named Washington, DC, Detroit, New York City, and San Francisco the four “worst run” cities in the United States this week, confirming what everyone knew all along.

According to CBS Detroit, financial website WalletHub posted the list of America’s worst offenders regarding “city management” and “operating efficiency.”

“We constructed a ‘Quality of Services’ score made up of 35 metrics grouped into six service categories, which we then measured against the city’s per-capita budget,” writes WalletHub.

“Ironically, the District of Columbia, which is home to the nation’s budget makers, was ranked as the worst city when it comes to budget per capita. DC also finished near the bottom of the 150-city list in terms of public education and health scores,” adds CBS.

Several key factors placed DC, San Francisco, and NYC at the top of the list; including pollution, traffic, and massive taxes.
