Democrat Senators are against Voter ID requirement when the majority of the people they represent are for it. They are elected to speak for the people they represent, but they don’t.
Thirty Plus states already have Voter ID requirement.
It’s not fair in a Presidential election when some states require it and some don’t.
Whatever it takes, the Republican senators should pass it.
You have been trained well…or maybe the term is groomed.
One party wants to give a hand up and provide resources to help folks be independant.. One party thinks those that need a hand up are lazy, and just want to suck on the goverment teat.
I don’t think so. I think the majority are in the Dakotas and Oklahoma. Now I could be wrong about that but I don’t think any of those are blue states.
Same goes for conservatives as well. Vast majority of Americans across party affiliation support strengthening worker protection through both legislation and unions. And that’s a decidedly left wing position.
If a Voter ID law came with a rock solid assurance that ID procurement wouldn’t become much more difficult in majority Black/Democratic counties once the law was passed it would likely see massive approval from the left.
Alabama passed voter ID in 2011. The counties that voted most strongly for Obama and the counties with the highest amounts of Black residents all lost their DMVs in 2015 making it much more difficult for those people to get those IDs.
I absolutely support Voter ID, as do I support making Elections a holiday, as do I support DMV access in every county and/or pop-up ID procurement locations during election season. It’s very telling that the conversation always stops at the ID with Republicans…
You silly goose don’t you know that reservation land is still owned by the federal government. The fed holds the land in a trust. The feds send money to the rez not the state. Heck the state police and county cops can’t go on the rez. Only the feds can go there.
Every county has a courthouse. Which is where rural county residents get their divers license. That is where the country accessor is, the county treasurer, the county extension office, the county sheriff, the county courts, county attorney, the county clerk, the election office, the emergency management office ect.
