4:05 PM ET – David Schoen, Civil Liberties Attorney and Gregg Jarrett, Fox News Legal Analyst and Author of the newly released paperback, The Russia Hoax, have closely followed the Robert Mueller investigation for the past two years. Now Mueller and his band of merry minions are wrapping up their special counsel. An investigation based on no evidence, that retrieved no evidence and millions of taxpayer dollars later may produce no report from it’s chief, Robert Mueller. Despite no evidence over 2 years, Rep. Nader, the new head of the House Judiciary committee is determined to pursue the bridge to nowhere:
WASHINGTON (AP) — House Democrats are stepping up their efforts to investigate President Donald Trump and his associates, hiring new lawyers and staff as they take on oversight responsibility and prepare for a showdown over access to special counsel Robert Mueller’s final Russia report.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler on Tuesday said he has hired two veteran lawyers and Trump critics as his panel gears up to investigate the Justice Department and review Mueller’s final conclusions, whenever they are released. Nadler and other Democrats have pressured Trump’s nominee for attorney general, William Barr, to release as much of that report as possible.

The two prominent lawyers, Barry Berke and Norman Eisen, could also provide expertise for impeachment if Democrats decide at some point to pursue it. The hires signal that while Democrats have been cautious on whether they may eventually choose to try to remove the president from office, they are moving forward aggressively with oversight as they wait for Mueller to finish his own investigation. 4:30 PM ET – Congressman Steve Scalise of Louisiana, was the victim of an almost fatal shooting a few years back while playing in a practice Congressional baseball game. The killer was a Democrat intent on killing Republicans, and he came close. The attacker James Hodginkson was ultimately killed by armed Capitol police escorting the Congressmen. Scalise believes that people are bad, not guns, and any further restrictions on the 2nd amendment hurt the American people. A quote from the Congressman, after he was denied the right to speak when House Judiciary Democrats denied him the opportunity to testify during a hearing this past week on gun violence.

“It’s not a good way for the Democrats to start their new majority by trying to suppress opposing viewpoints and there are going to be a lot of controversial issues that go before the Judiciary Committee in the next two years,” he said. “If they start to run it like a kangaroo court, it’s going to really hurt their credibility and ultimately show that they’re not about getting facts out, they’re just trying to promote a leftist agenda, and that would be a mistake on their part.”

Scalise, a sympathetic victim of gun violence testifying against gun control legislation, is clearly not the optics Democrats are looking for. In politics these days, optics are everything. And the fact that Scalise’s shooter was a left-wing activist is also a story some Democrats likely wish would go away. (H/T The Advocate)
