4:05 PM ET – Dr. Josh Umbehr, of Atlas MD, has been a leading and vocal voice in the fight for Direct Primary Care. His practice gives the control back to the patient, why shouldn’t we all have more control over our health and well being? Dr. Josh talks about his ability to take on more patients via teleconferencing during this crisis, and help people who may have concerns about COVID-19. One the abilities for DPC is access to your doctors. If you want to reach Dr. Josh you can contact him at drjosh@atlas.md. Dr. Josh discusses the HCQ therapy and the pills coming into the US for the treatment of COVID patients.

4:35 PM ET – Betsy McCaughey, PhD. a former lieutenant governor of New York, is chairwoman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths, and discusses the problems for hospitals, nursing homes and our front line medical responders. Today she also talks about Governor Cuomo and his ‘leadership’ during this pandemic. As a former Lt. Governor she has a unique perspective on what preparedness should look like for the city and state of NY. Her take on the preparedness of the government for this, or any crisis of its kind:

Coronavirus also strains the health care system more by putting people in the hospital and on ventilators for weeks, while hospital patients with seasonal flu stay only a couple of days. The shutdown is designed to “flatten the curve,” meaning slow the spread enough to allow our shamefully understocked health care systems to function.

Shamefully is the right word. For the past 20 years, through Democratic and Republican presidencies, health officials were warned about the lack of emergency medical supplies, including masks and ventilators. Ten federal reports sounded that alarm, even as the nation witnessed one pandemic after another circle the globe: SARS, MERS, avian flu, swine flu. Federal health bureaucrats dithered despite the warnings. They kept the Strategic National Stockpile budget to about $595 million, even as they spent nearly 10 times that on medical aid to Africa during the Ebola crisis.
In short, federal health officials got caught with their pants down. It’s our unpreparedness, more than the virus itself, that has necessitated the shutdown.

5:05 PM ET – Dr. Oz, Cardiac Surgeon and Host of The Dr. Oz Show is here for his daily update on COVID-19.

Fox News medical contributor Dr. Mehmet Oz said President Trump presented the American people with a “somber” truth when he said at a press conference Tuesday that the country could see 100,000 to more than 200,000 people die of the coronavirus.

“In medicine, you always tell people what’s really going to happen; that’s when they trust you,” Oz told “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday.
“Folks have an unbelievable ability to cope if they know what’s coming at them. That’s I think what is happening in the United States.”
Oz’s comments came after the White House coronavirus task force on Tuesday pleaded with Americans to abide by the administration’s extended social distancing guidelines to slow the spread of coronavirus as Trump told Americans to brace for “a very painful two weeks” and warned of thousands of more virus-related deaths.
