Impeachment is not a Constitutional method to deal with policy disagreements.
But, if Trump wins in November, he will be quite able to fire Mayorkas on Day 1.

I have opposed ALL the recent impeachments, both Republicans against Democrats and vice versa.
Impeachment, where no chance at all exists of conviction, is just a â– â– â– â– show.
No chance of conviction existed because the Democrat Leadership is in lockstep with filling the United States with millions upon millions of poverty-stricken, poorly educated, low-skilled, diseased, disabled, criminal, and unvetted terrorist foreign nationals.
At least the Republican Leadership gave every Democrat Senator a chance to help protect our border from the ongoing invasion.

I don’t think any high crimes or misdemeanors were committed so Shumer probably made the right call.
Day one in office:
Joe Biden issued seven executive orders loosening immigration enforcement and sent an immigration bill to congress.
Since then:
He is said to have undertaken more than 300 executive “actions” (whatever those are) to open the border even further.
These actions are terrible as are their consequences,
But I do not see any impeachable offense here.

Having a Senate trial was to determine if there was an impeachable offence. Schumer took it upon himself to make that determination and shut down a trial.

There have not been many articles of impeachment brought against major public figures, but I always figured each one named a specific law the accused allegedly violated.
This bill seems to be just a (potentially dangerous) attempt to grab the spotlight, but yeah maybe you’re right. Since the House passed it the Senate should probably have voted on it.
