What is your basis for that conclusion?
When you describe it that way, I’d say it’s a lose lose situation. Any factual outcome will foment more anger and resentment and probably lead to more violence.
If you state proving a negative and you are asked to do the same, why have a problem with it?

And yet a few weeks ago some no brain bozos held a black man against a tree for about a minute and the media was all about how this would have likely lead to a lynching if not for others being around.
Is speculation not acceptable, or just some speculation?
