Iconic comedian Roseanne Barr stopped by ‘Hannity’ Thursday night; opening up about the infamous tweet that cost the comic her hit series and saying her comments were in response to Obama’s Iranian nuclear agreement.
Barr shed new light on the motivations behind her harsh critique of former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett, adding she “will always defend Israel” and her tweet was simply “asking for accountability” from the author of the botched deal.
“You sent this tweet out, ‘Muslim brotherhood and Planet of the Apes,’ you’re talking about Valerie Jarrett. What were you thinking when you said that?” asked Sean.
“That is a political tweet […] I will always defend Israel. I’m a Jew and I have family that lives there. So that’s a tweet asking for accountability from the previous administration about the Iran deal which Valerie Jarrett is the author of. That’s what was in my head,” said Barr.
