Dude all I meant was it depends on whether she wants to let them extend it temporarily because she would have to pass it in the House first. Largesse doesn’t necessarily refer to money.
The Senate will convene at 4:00 p.m. and resume consideration of the nomination of William Hardy to be US District Judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
At 5:30 p.m. the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Hardy nomination.
You know that they couldn’t even present their proposal yesterday because they can’t agree on the terms, right? They’re not even presenting the proposal publicly until next week. Maybe.
Is this just something you feel or do you have some sort of evidence for it?
I’d love for you to be right but this isn’t playing hardball, this is political suicide. No way they’d do it if they actually had an agreement among their caucus.
Schoolhouse Rock is thataway. That is the function of the House of Representatives, take it up with the rotting corpse of James Madison if you have an issue.
Those four other nominations will likely consume all of Tuesday and most if not all of Wednesday.

The House passed their stimulus bill months ago. It is McConnell that has driven this right to the cliff, intentionally at that, and now he can’t get his caucus in line.
Honestly, you start to see why the Republicans would have a hard time getting the Ten Commandments passed even when they control both houses and the presidency.
