Gene Hackman was found dead at his home last night with his wife and dog. Makes me wonder if it was a gas leak or something like that. Regardless a true acting legend has been lost.
I don’t fawn over “celebrities” but Hackman was not famous for being a celebrity but for his acting prowess. As a moviephile, I can appreciate acting as an art and he is someone who was a master of his craft.
RIP Gene Hackman. Time to go and rewatch the Superman movies and French Connection

Hackman was impressive at that age not only did he make it close to the mid 90’s last year he was seen driving around going to restaurants.
That’s a full life being mobile and not bad ridden in the mid 90’s William Shatner close to the same age is getting ready to make a cameo on and upcoming Star Trek flick.
A great actor, with some unfortunate roles in the mix.
They recently had a mini-marathon of Hackman movies on TCM and I saw a few I’d never seen or heard of.
Trachtenberg was funny in EuroTrip.
Yeah I enjoyed Eurotrip It was a movie of its time. Along with American Pie series they would not get made today 
He could play a hero you rooted for or play a villain you wanted to get killed.

He was the best lex luther. The best part i remember as a kid was his monolog to clark kent. Using supersonic transmission only superman and dogs could hear taunting him to his lair. It really sets the following fight scene up nicely.
I also loved hoosiers. Pretty much the same reason. He could deliver lines that really make the scenes powerful.
