Certainly in this forum much of the discussion is Your Guy is the devil. No, your guy is the devil.
I suspect (hope) there is a disagreement over issues behind all these rants. If not, we’re in trouble if this is halfway representative as the country as a whole.
The problem is finding a “generic” Democrat.

I haven’t seen a poll that shows a specific Democrat beating Trump beyond the margin of error. Who are we even talking about? Harris? Newsom? Buttigieg?

Not sure but if it’s really the end of the republic inbound one would think they wouldn’t risk running a geriatric Biden who turns into a roomba the second he finishes speaking and polling only going south.
The media daily is saying incoming election end of the republic.
So who would you run instead that has a better chance to beat Trump?

If you believe (as the Democrats do) that everyone in the world who can say the words “asylum seeker” deserves a free pass into the country at the US taxpayers expense then you won’t have a country for very long. What’s next 20-30 million “asylum seekers” each year for the next four years of a Biden presidency?

I think, here at the forum, there is an often some policy behind the those ‘my guy/your guy’ postures.
But IRL not so much.
I don’t think the guys driving around with 8 trump flags on their pick up trucks have a nuanced view of the superiority of his policies versus his democratic counterparts.
I actually think it’s the opposite. I’ve found this place to be ridiculously tribal with core beliefs thrown out as soon as its necessary to back your “team”. It’s pretty rampant and makes me very sad. I think in general(there are always the guys driving with all their Trump flags on their trucks, but in general) people aren’t as bad as they are on political forums like this.

Only due to moderators can one post here without reference to their treason, status as a “comrade”, or reference to one’s parentage or likely talent for working in the circus, as one sees in less moderated forums.
