Rev. Robert Jeffress Defends Trump Amid Tape Chaos: We Also Supported ‘Known Womanizer’ Ronald Reagan

On Fox of course…

"The Fox News contributor began by dismissing remarks made by an anti-Trump reverend who insisted that congressional leaders have “sold their souls” in order to make deals with this president.

“This is not an unusual thing. We’ve been here before,” Jeffress told Fox News’ Ed Henry. “Back in 1980, evangelicals chose to support a twice-married Hollywood actor who was a known womanizer in Hollywood. His name was Ronald Reagan. They chose to support him over Jimmy Carter, with a born-again Baptist Sunday school teacher who had been faithfully married to one woman."

Cool. The Trumpletons new routine is going to be to drag Ronald Reagan down into Trump’s sewage gutter. Led by Christian Evangelicals.

I will never understand why current republicans are willing to risk their entire brand on such a liar in Trump? I just do not get it!

I could see if Trump was a decent person like Kaisch…but this habitual lair?!

i wonder why he didn’t use Bill Clinton as an example. deficit slowed down. the combo of unemployment and inflation was really good. cracked down on deadbeat parents. cut like 100,000 federal jobs.

makes no sense.

We just dont like the alternatives you offer socially.

This thread looks like a good place to remind everyone that the BBC is going to be showing this bit today at 11:30 EST.

Yeah… you got another foreign government influence to the help you. Of course.

Because he’s being pulled down into Trump’s level of moral-less gutter.

These people have zero shame.

Religion needs to stay out of politics but Fox News knows how to manipulate their base.

Any trump supporters around here ok with a priest giving his political opinion while appearing on a political news channel?

I’m happy that these people show themselves, though. These RW Media Evangelipublicans. They show they have zero standards, zero morals, zero inner core of stable beliefs.

Meanwhile, every day I see decent small church Christians quietly going about their business of spreading the Good News, being loving and charitable, and not hooking themselves to a political party.

man, that’s really the truth. the decent ones who go along helping people have all my respect. it’s who i grew up in church with. they live their whole lives just giving of themselves and when they finally pass the whole town shows up and pays their respect. it’s not uncommon and it’s so loving.

Read my lips…given the same choices, I’d vote for Trump all over again. Now looking backwards with 20/20 vision, I will go to my grave telling those in the future that I was one of those who voted Trump into office and saved our country from those who’d turned rogue and were attempting to open our borders, bring on socialism plus import thousands of refugees from war torn countries who would never have assimilated.

Funny… libs want to replace those charitable church people with the government.

Like you people can even recognize a lie now.
Libs try to play the “what would jesus do” card.
Those charitable Christians are doing what Jesus would do… and it isn’t using the government to force people into helping others.

We all have a hundred ways to help others without involving the government.
