Restaurant bans children under 10

I did look for urban dictionary uses and other slang usage, but could not find any.

Real people dont post like this.

Oh, I didn’t mean to imply that you didn’t look there, sorry for the confusion   :+1:

Here’s an example of a group of old people being played by a mindless bot.

There’s certain places you don’t take your kid. I’ve learned that really fast with my six month old.

When I want food at a decent restaurant but I’ve got the kid with me, I order it to go and eat it at home. He’s completely unpredictable and I don’t want to risk him starting to cry when they’ve paid forty plus dollars for a steak or something. If me and girlfriend want to actually go out and eat something nice we can usually drop him off at her mom’s house and her watch him for an hour or two.

Over 40 years ago, my wife and I, and my parents, and my then-1-year-old son went to Mama Leone’s in NYC. We had a lovely time. They set up my kid in a high chair, and they brought him a plate of plain pasta which he played with and ate. And he was actually entertaining to the people sitting near us. At one point we even gave him a lemon wedge which he kept biting into, and making the best sour faces, to the delight of other people watching.

And then he sort of leaned forward, and propped himself up on his elbows, and started straining. Everyone watched his face turn red and his eyes grow intense. Kept that pose for about a minute until he finished pushing out his load. My wife quickly scooped him up and took him to the ladies room for a diaper change.

Mama Leone’s closed shortly thereafter, never to reopen.

We had a restaurant try this several years back.

The policy flopped and they dropped it after a year.

Kids need guidance from wherever they can get it.

There are a few high end restaurants that have daycare for customer’s children. The parents and other patrons can eat in peace.

most restaurants don’t serve happy meals

We used to bring kid food with us at some restaurants. We never had a restauranter complain. They probably appreciated that our kids were not causing a problem.

Life is a real inconvenience for that kind of delusionists.

If I had a kid that was 8, I’d just lie and say they’re 10.
