Henry Waxman is still around as a lobbyiest since leaving office early 2015 ā¦ the sad (for us) fate of way too many Congresscritters as they seek to pony up to a gravy train at our expense that never ends.
Helen Thomas was a liberal journalist who served in the Washington Press corps for years. She was okay. She stayed active in her job till she died a few years ago.
Tip OāNeill was a former speaker of the house. He is notable for many things but for me it was his brashness and sense of invulnerability over saying that the seriousness of the charges, said charges being absurd and not just unsubstantiated, warranted endlessly investigating Republicans. FIY, IIRC the āchargesā were that Pappy Bush flew to Paris in an SR-71 to meet with Iranians so they wouldnāt release the hostages till after the election.
