Didn’t say it was McCabe, but the E-mail sure as hell makes it sound like he was talking to CNN about the dossier. Unless somehow Trumps team found out about the Dossier that Trump probably hadn’t been breifed on and they leaked it.
It is this kind of crap that is turning more Trump supporters.
The BOMBSHELL IG REPORT article linked in the thread literally debunked the hair-on-fire headline as it specifically stated it wasn’t recommending charges and was turning over the report to the justice department.
The dossier was, we’re told, pretty widely distributed. Congress and the FBI have indicated Steele had been talking about it with media for some time. That CNN had it is no surprise.
No one published it because it was too out there and not useful by itself. When they found out that Trump was briefed on it, then it becomes a story worth publishing.
CNN would naturally talk with the FBI about a story they’re getting close to going to publishing. That’s hardly surprising. He was either told directly or could logically surmise why they would decide to go to press. McCabe mentioning the “trigger” was days after the briefing actually took place.
None of this is surprising.
