Are you kidding me! There would be outrage in this diverse country where a good portion of citizenry are legal immigrants who had nothing to do with slavery and most came to this country to flee from oppression and tyranny themselves.

It’s bad enough that liberal Democrats give illegal aliens “special” rights that Americans don’t get, like sanctuary cities, but it would be too much to impose reparations on the taxpayers, it’s not going to happen without resistance, I’ll tell you that! I won’t pay it as my ancestors came to this country in the early 1900’s more then half a century after the Civil War.

The concept of Reparation is a little mixed I don’t think they should just hand out money, the best solution would be a tax credit for anyone who can prove their ancestors were a slave.

I find it interesting that libs demand that nonslave owners be compelled to pay “reparations” to non slaves.

It would be paid in full had post war reconstruction been done correctly and the ensuing 100 years not been spent preventing blacks from accumulating generational wealth and prosperity, getting proper educations and becoming full fledged citizens with their rights fully protected as vigorously as the rights of everybody else.

For those who qualify academically and are descendants, free education

Equal the playing field when it comes to HBCU’s. Give the same amount of endowments and funding to these schools as PWI’s. Recently the HBCU’s here in Maryland won a case in against the state in which Maryland was not equally distributing funds to UMES, Morgan State, Coppin State and Bowie State as they were to U. of Maryland College Park, UMBC, UMAB, Towson, Salisbury and Frostburg. What’s even more crazy one can actually see the difference. For example, I went to UMES which is 12 miles south of Salisbury. The schools have a collaboration in which students can take courses at either institution. However, even though it’s way better now but back when I was in school the facilities at Salisbury were way superior to those at UMES.

Increase Capital and/or investment for small black owned businesses.

Increase funding for better academic programs and upgrade school facilities in predominate black communities. For example Prince George’s County here in Maryland has the highest percentage of middle class African Americans than any county in the the country. However, many of our schools suck, compared to our neighbors in Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Montgomery and Howard(especially Howard). We have the highest property taxes in the state, but get little in return as it relates to our school system. Now once again, schools are getting better, but there is still a VERY long way to go.

I can go on and on and it does not require writing individual checks to people. Also, I don’t care about the role southern democrats or republicans. This is an America situation on a whole, so this transcends party. America has not been kind to black people despite the fact that we built this place. If it wasn’t for folks that look like me, America would not be the country it is today. Unfortunately, the sins of the past are still with us and systematically it needs to change rather you like it or not

I like all of these ideas but especially 1 and 4.

I would actually do federal tax free for life. For descendants of slaves.

And/or I would setup a fund for black owned business where the approval isn’t dependent on credit. Just dependent on a well documented business plan. I would also have funding to setup workshops for development of those business plans.

I would also allow non descendants of slaves the opportunity to get small business dollars if they want to open up businesses in areas of high minority population.

Do that and watch millions of white Americans refuse to pay their taxes. What will the government do when that happens? Put millions in jail?
