I remember him as a NFL super-star in the years that I got interested in football.
He had a great professional carer, A okay movie stint. And did a lot of good work promoting minority causes.

He was a classic for sure…RIP.
His average per carry was something like 5.4 yards. (Trying to go from memory, but that’s getting sketchier by the day.). That means a first down every other time he touched the ball! I know that’s not exactly true, but that’s what the math says.
He was a “in your face” RB. There were a bunch of them back then. Then cam the “finesse” RB’s. The one that I liked was Barry Sanders.
