Q2 GDP 4.1% . highest since 5.2% under obama

right in line with expectations

Aweee Obama’s was bigger

obama had 4.6 and then 5.2 back to back and actually had a period with 3 out of 4 quarters of 4% or higher

Moody’s was right on. I’d love to see a “post mortem” so to speak of NY Fed’s analysis and why they were so far off this time.

these are good times. hope they last a while

Be interesting to see what 3Q will be with tariffs in place.

was that the year growth didn’t quite reach 3%?

Things are almost as good as they were under obama…

I wonder where all the conservatives are frothing at the mouth about cooked books and participation rates…

So… we trust the numbers now?

If other consumers outside the US are like me they will not be buying much coming out of the US when I can buy from other countries cheaper due to the trade war the US started.

As always Moodys is the man. I called them high(based on all the data i get and analyze). Cause they dont know what theyre going.

And so weird Atlanta revised slower.

Yeah. There’s some good, some bad.

Exports drove a lot of this, but those were really only up due to the impending tariff battles. Consumer spending is up but wages aren’t going up that much so some of it must be fueled by debt. Government spending is up and that helps GDP growth. Inventories are down so that’ll help future growth which is good because all the other things that I mentioned aren’t really sustainable.

Private investment was down, which is weird to me. I thought this tax cut was supposed to spur investment.

$1trillion deficits good timez

Obamas last quarter in office was 1.2% GDP! From 2nd quarter of last year, to this projected 2nd quarter, Trump has officially made a complete year of 3.0% cumulative GDP for an entire year. Obama has never accomplished this. So who cares if Obama had 1 quarter that was better than Trump, he still never achieved a year of 3.0% GDP growth, so yet again, Obama is the only US president in history to never achieve a 3.0% cumulative yearly GDP as president.

Obama spent more than all presidents combined, and your complaining about deficits under Trump?

Trump is spending more than Obama ever did.

HAHA The numbers dont prove your point!

This is utter and complete â– â– â– â– â– â– â– â– â–  By that same criteria, Obama had four occurrences of consecutive 4-quarter periods obtaining over 3% growth
