I can’t get any traction on this, because he’s already said he won’t run. But I’m convinced that Jon Tester would clean Trump’s clock. He’s immensely likeable, convincingly beating his midterm opponent in a solid red state. I’m not aware of any blemishes on his record, apart from Trump’s tantrum about Ronny Jackson. He seems to be a solid, moderate problem-solver. He’s literally a farmer, fer crissakes. What’s not to like?
