then a jury of his peers heard evidence from both sides and exonerated him.

Prosecutorial discretion isnt always weaponization. I disagree with the charges but that doesn’t take away from the fact that there was a death possibly resulting from assault. Of course self defense applies to that. But that’s still prosecutorial discretion.
