Predictions on the border Trump vs Biden

I mean, border crossings have been down down for awhile now and Biden is the president. Not saying he couldn’t have done more during those for years but he is still the president.

Just like what Biden/Harris/Mayorkas did about the border for nearly four years?

That’s one way of looking at it, I guess.

Are you looking at a media translation of it?

so where in here

does she refute anything Trump said? She talks about what they were and are doing, not about what they will do.

Yeah, I know. I was just listening to it. Does she say what you and the US media are claiming?

Personally, I tend to follow the principle that if you create or inflame the problem, you don’t get credit if the problem eases to some degree…you only get credit if you eliminate the problem and correct it’s negative effects.

Where did she say Mexico agreed to do anything they aren’t already doing?

Does she say what Trump is claiming?

where did she not?

She didn’t “refute” anything, that is merely what you are reading into it. They both walked away from the phone call, Trump did not mention what they were and are doing, and she did not mention what they will do in the future. Both statements can be true.

With caravans, yes.

The dance is just beginning.

does she deny it?

Exactly! Although when JD Vance was discussing this with a lib reporter he noted that Biden was utilizing other means of bringing migrants in that didn’t go into the border numbers.

See? The programming is as real as the mental illness they all share.

You are confusing what is being said for public consumption with what is taking place in private. The proof will be in the pudding.

I don’t doubt for one second that Trump will do exactly as he says with the 25% tariff threat. The Mexican President knows this and will most certainly do everything within her power to avoid the tariff. But she is certainly not going to openly admit that in public.

Look. We’re trying to bend statements to fit our own narratives. I acknowledge that is what I’m doing. But let’s not even consider the Mexican President’s statement. Trump said, “She has agreed to stop migration through Mexico”, this heavily, heavily implies that a) Mexico wasn’t already trying to stop migration in to the United States and b) Mexico has now agreed to take action against migration. We know this to be false. Mexico currently has programs in place to fly migrants from the northern boarder to the southern border. Mexico is already taking action against migration. If someone unfamiliar with Mexico’s current policies read Trump’s statement they would think, “Trump has gotten Mexico to agree to stop migration into the United States, something they weren’t already doing. What a win for Trump!” It is very possible that during their conversation Sheinbaum agreed to stop the flow of migration through Mexico. That’s great. But Trump’s statement, while possibly true is highly misleading and lacks crucial context. Which is Trumps MO.

I don’t disagree with that at all. As for it being his MO… its the MO of all politicians. Take credit for everything good, cast blame for everything bad.
