Post election question for the Democrats

The election is over.

America has returned Republican Donald Trump to the White House, Republicans now control the Senate and although the ballots are still being counted it appears will control the House. Republicans apparently even did quite well in various state houses.
Whenever Arizona and Nevada get done counting ballots Mr. Trump will have received 312 electoral college votes, will have won the popular vote…In short this was a blow out.

I suspect that if the tables were turned this forum would be loaded with posts and a thread or two conducting the autopsy of the Republican party…

I’ve pulled no punches sharing my opinions…This was a devastating rejection of the hard left.

But I’m just curious…
For our Democrat Friends…What lessons have you taken from this week’s election defeat? What have you learned about the attitudes of the American people? What would you like to see change in your party?

The horde of perpetually cat lady/boys wouldn’t be so hilariously absent right now either.

Hope kitty isn’t too exhausted from giving all that emotional support.

I know what I would be thinking but I don’t really have much love for the current state of the Democrat party anyway.

I would be thinking it’s time to dump the crazy, the trans stuff the green new scam stuff the wide open borders stuff and to get back to walking hand in hand with normal Americans.

But that’s just me.

People love to say thst that “this ain’t your grandaddy’s Republican Party.” And maybe it ain’t, but one other thing is also for sure, “this sure as ■■■■ ain’t your grandaddy’s Democratic Party” either!

Here’s the reality, today’s Democrats are disciples of liberal academia who sets the philosophical ideas for the Left. DEI, CRT, LGBTQ+, open borders, so-called diversity, etc., all comes from the hallowed halls of liberal academia. So ask yourself, where are Democrats getting their candidates from today?

I know the question is for democrats to answer. I however have a couple observations.

  1. The whacko fringe will claim Kamala lost because she was not true to her leftism and tried to be “moderate”.
  2. Run of the mill liberals will claim not that the whacko fringe is wrong, but that they need to “slow down” and not push so much of a progressive agenda.
  3. More moderate democrats… don’t exist.

No Democrats want weigh in huh?

Do you believe the lawfare might have hurt you?

Democrats didn’t just lose the White House and Senate Republicans did well down ballot as well.

Doesn’t that indicate some soul searching is in order?

What needs to change?

I’ve read multiple comments in this forum from democrats condemning the Republican Party to irrelevance…yet Republicans just won this election decisively. What does the Democrat party need to do to return to relevance?

These are people who argue that being a man or a woman has NOTHING to do with biology and is purely determined by the words that come out of someone’s mouth. We all need to let that sink in to truly understand the Left today.

Can you imagine if the election had gone the other way on Sunday…

So here are my suggestions for the Democrats.

Dump the crazy. Your party has lost touch with the bulk of the American people…Despite Kamala’s claims that she was raised middle class Democrats are out of touch with the American MIddle Class…The Democrat party is now the party of rich coastal elites.

The American people really aren’t interested in being lectured about why they need to buy the appliances you think they need and why they should drive the car you think they should drive.

The American people don’t want men in their daughter’s locker rooms. There are two sexes, male and female not 57. The American people don’t want a wide open southern border. The American people aren’t swayed by the big celebrity endorsement. The American people don’t need to be told “The Economy is fine crime is down the border is secure” when our eyes, ears, and lived experience tell us the exact opposite.

Do you agree Democrats?

Agreed…

Following Trump’s loss in 2020, I kind of disappeared for a while. It was devastating for me and the last thing I wanted to do was to be told by smug DEMs that I needed to reassess my view of the world.

I really thought a couple might be interested in assessing what happened…

Guess I was wrong.

Oh well on to enjoy the day.

This seems like going from “I don’t care what the left has to say I’ve had enough of them, their lies aren’t worth the time” to “ To our Democratic Friends let us discuss your demise.”

I was right here, still rustling their jimmies with memes. They couldn’t even be smug without getting triggered because their mental faculties are ill. Now look at them.

The actual question is….

Do our Democrat friends understand why their demise happened.

To be honest yes I’ve had enough of the current Democrat party…”we believe in unity (you republicans are all hitler loving nazis), we will work for the middle class (we will also raise your taxes and flood your communities with illegals), and we believe in equality (and if your daughter gets a concussion from the boy on the other school’s volleyball team toughen up)…the border is secure, crime is down, the economy is great (even though you might have to take a second job to pay your credit card bills since you had to pay your electric bill and buy groceries with your Visa Card)…”

I’m serious…does the democrat party recognize how far from reality it has drifted?

Don’t change anything. Just replenish the roster.

The Obama-Biden-Harris administration made historic policy accomplishments routine. Medicare negotiation, infrastructure, and the extinction of pre-existing conditions are the top three. Literal American dreams, ticked off one-by-one.

Bad vibes might overcome good policy in the short term, but Democrats shouldn’t overreact to the loss.

Biden needs to disburse all the funds of the infrastructure law, the CHIPS act, and the IRA before Trump takes office. Make it a little bit more difficult for Republicans to steal credit for the fruit of those policies.

“The kid sniffer should ■■■■ over America one more time, because orange man bad.”

Of the ones you mentioned, there are two that really set me off.

At the top of that list by far is a biological male being allowed to compete in a women’s sport. All their lives, some gifted females dream of exceling in their chosen sport, only to have those dreams dashed by a mediocre biological male. The LIB call for the rights of that biological male to be honored while stomping on the rights of females is gut wrenching for me.

Second on that list is DEMs enacting policies they know will increase cost in order to further their assault on fossil fuels and to chase the mythical living wage. Inevitably costs do increase. Those of us with the financial means to absorb those cost increases, simply shrug it off. Those most affected are living paycheck to paycheck with no means to absorb a cost increase. DEMs are relentless with their agenda and heartless when it comes to the most vulnerable.

Inflation…”too many dollars chasing too few goods”.

Your response is to further flood the economy with more printed dollars since the country is 35 trillion in debt after the voters rejected Democrat actions that led to all the inflation?

Interesting plan.
